Last weeks recap 2/27 – 3/3

Monday:
This day started out like a normal Monday. I hate them and hate going to work on them even more so I stayed home. I did not call in sick, I never call in sick when I am not sick. I just said I would not be in and left it at that. I spent the day watching prerecorded shows on my DVR and that is just about it. I talked to Angie a little bit and she made a strange comment at the end of the day she said “Is something going on with you?”. I’m not sure what she meant and she did not elaborate.

Tuesday:
I did not miss too much from taking a lazy day on Monday. Daily stuff.

Angie and I did not speak much during the day, only one or two short messages and that was all. When I was home she sent a reply to my comment about singlehandedly destroying most of my favorite shirts by leaving an ink pen in one of the pockets. I told her I just laughed it off and threw them all away. Her comment was “I wouldn’t have done that”. I was eating dinner when I received that message and moved the bezel on my smart watch, setting the reply to “I’ll call you later” and sent the reply. This was a mistake I had done with Sam previously but never with Angie and I did not want her to think I was putting her off but she responded with ‘OK’. I told her it was a mistake with my watch and that I can talk now. Her surprising response was ‘I can talk too’. I took that as an invitation to give her a call. Was I elated and we talked for about 40 minutes. No fighting just pleasant conversation.

After we were off the phone I finished dinner cleaned up and went to bed about 7:00 pm. I usually send her a good night message before I finally fall asleep for the night but I forgot this time and woke up about 9:25 thinking about sending her a message right then when the phone started ringing. It was her letting me know she had to drive to Perryville, MO and check on her son, a tornado had touched down. This phone call made my day/week, I don’t know but it seems like a sign we are getting back to where we were. That means so much.

Wednesday:
She has gone back to being herself. No conversation today, not sure if everything is OK with Andy or not

Thursday:
She has gone back to being herself. No conversation today, not sure if everything is OK with Andy or not

Friday:
The truck she wants is 4500.00 and neither one of us can afford that. I also found out that the person the is trying to buy this out from under her is her freaking husband. At least she keeps calling him ‘the idiot”.

Saturday:
Not much of anything today but to pasify her because I could not get the 4500.00 I sent her a thousand to play with. I hope she does good things with it and doesn’t just blow it.

Sunday:
Broke my tooth today. Suck big time, it is sharp and poking into the side of my mouth.

It’s a guy thing

This weekend I did my laundry as usual but this time I did not check my pockets for change, paper receipts, keys…. ink pens… and yes I left an ink pen in the pocket of one of my shirts. This little f-up cost me everyone of my favorite shirts. At 25.00 to 30.00 a pop that is a little chunk of change my friends. Especially when Angie keeps asking for money.

If she is ‘supposed’ try for six months on this marriage how come he isn’t taking care of the expenses? Medications when she is sick, bed for her grand babies?

If she needs things or wants to give gifts for the grand babies so she is not embarrassed I’ll be more than happy to take care of it as long as her plans to end this stupid marriage are truthful and she is giving the extra money I give her to Andy to pay off that debt.

Because I am not around her or talk to her all the time my mind tends to wander and believe me that is not a good thing.

I have been spending a lot of time going through the PMBOK guide, fifth addition, PMBOK being Project Manager Body of Knowledge. This is the beginning of my preparation for the Project Manager Professional certificate I plan on getting this year. They were giving this class to us for free here at work but I got tired of waiting so I enrolled in a Udemy class of the same topic myself. One week before they announced the class was still a go here. If I keep up the work I should be complete before my coworkers.

Things are looking up

Last week was a great week for communication between Angie and me. There were no fights, she got to play three card poker for Valentines day just like she asked. I was able to send Andy the 1500.00 for the truck he wanted and started paying off his other debt. I talked to her Friday night and I may have pinged her too much on Saturday but she called and asked a simple question. She is going to tell the idiot that her dad bought her the phone that I did and wanted to know if I wanted the number to stay on the phone or place it on the broken phone. All I said was I would prefer her to leave the number on the phone I purchased but she can do whatever she wants. Her response was, ‘I will do what you prefer I do’. She left it at that, even after I reiterated that she can do what she wants she said, no ‘I’ll do what you want’. This simple statement she made along with the tone of her voice during our entire conversation was so much like we used to be.

Love you Angie….

Great Weekend

Things seem to be looking up between Angie and me. She told her husband she wants a divorce last Sunday which would be the first step in us correcting the mistakes from the last six months. I’m totally sure how everything went but she seemed comfortable telling me about it and we have been getting along quite well so far. I feel really good about this but I can’t help but be nervous and this just goes along with my experience with women.

New Story Dice roll.

What a fiasco

I made some statements last year about how everything had gone. Desiree committing suicide, Angie getting married etc..

Lets take a look at how the Angie thing actually panned out. She called me back in March wanting a new phone because she had lost the one I just got for her. I did not get mad and I calmly told her, she has insurance, go get a new one which she promptly did. Fast forward to now where she is married. She tells me she kept sending me messages, calling my phone and I would never answer. So she figured I was gone then she met this guy and thought Mike’s gone, I need a phone and he said he would get her a phone and give her insurance if she married him, so she did. I’m not exactly sure I completely believe that story but I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt. Well, we are now talking again and I find out she was calling my old phone number that I had turned off over a year ago because of sales calls.

So, this whole time she thought I had left her she was calling and texting the wrong number. She did not try to email, send a message through her son on Facebook. She just assumed I left so getting married to someone seemed like the think to do. She is obviously not the sharpest tack in the box but I do enjoy her company I just need to adjust my temper, stop getting pissed she does not need that right now.

I have also stopped my subscription to Lynda.com, I loved the courses they had but found them more personal on Udemy.com plus it will save me about 35.00/month. I’m thinking of canceling my 75.00/month subscription to KarmaGo WiFi as well. I’ll look at my usage and see what to do. I could just buy a gig at a time for 14.00 and see how that goes.

15 mile ride on Saturday

Friday afternoon I got on the Peloton expecting to do 15 minutes of a 60 minute ride and I ended up doing the entire 60 minutes and it felt wonderful when I was done. I rode the Oregon and Washington Scenic ride. My butt hurts a bit after the ride and then I ended up with some kind intestinal problem, it could be just the flu but spending so much time in the bathroom I was not able to ride much more during the weekend. As soon as I am better, back on the bike. I also feel the weight coming off which makes me want to ride more.

Grand Tetons

My first ride on the Peloton bike was a ride through the Grand Tetons. I rode with the new shoes that arrived from Peloton on Friday. The shoes are unlike anything I have ever worn before with a solid plastic sole the you  attach the cleat to. Absolutely nothing I would where on the ice 🙂 as I would be on my ass in no time. This afternoon I’ll be taking a ride in the pacific northwest.

I also purchased a new Fit Bit, the Fit bit Charge 2. I am hoping the sync feature is more robust than the Charge I wear now. The battery life seems to have been more than doubled to five days rather than two. This one should be here Friday 1/20/2017 inauguration day!

Peloton part duex

My Peloton was to arrive last Thursday but due to weather conditions in MO they had to delay until today (Monday). It was supposed to be here early but as of now, 4:53pm it is not and should be here soon. Wasted an entire day of vacation.

I hope they don’t take too long setting up, I need to go to bed on time.

And the new year starts

What is up for this new year.

Number one on the list has to be lose the weight I gained which is to say get in shape and continue to do so as I was when I was in physical therapy after my heart attach. To do this I order a Peloton spin bike at 2400.00 this is an expensive gift to myself but on that I will enjoy. I enjoyed the stationary bike at therapy and have been complaining none of the weight rooms I have at the apartment or the hotel had them.

Number two will be the Project Management Professional certificate my boss mentioned late last year. If he meant it great I’ll do It as I have signed up for a course at Udemy for the same. If now I’ll still take the Udemy course then practice tests, then the real deal.

Number three is the book… I’m not sure of that direction as it has changed very much over the last year but I’ll set my direction and move forward.

Last but not least is the continued pursuit of Blender modeling, Unity Game creating and C#/Python programing. All of these last items I enjoy very much but have limited time to practice.

I think all of these can be accomplished this year with the first one a must if I want to go back to Seattle next Christmas.
