Weekend

I spend the weekend looking for a new place to live. I was going to head to Tulsa and stay at the Studio 6 but at the last minute a friend of mine told me about all the drug trafficking that happens there and I changed my mind. I did find a nice place about a mile and a half from where I am now and they agreed to the amount I want to pay per night. It will be a done deal by the end of this week and I will move Friday afternoon or Saturday.

Just another Monday

Yesterday was ‘just another Monday’ with the exception I had meetings all day and will continue throughout the week for ‘Electronic Work Instructions’ for which I care nothing about. With that said, I will not be attending the meetings with the work I need to get done by Friday I really do not have the time.

I did not get to Blend any yesterday because Angie was here from St. Louis with her cousin and came over for about an hour or so. All I had time for was dinner and bed which means off to Blendering I will be going as soon as I get home tonight.

Virus

I finished a new tutorial this afternoon after taking a couple weeks off. Boy did I miss playing around with Blender and watching the new and exciting images that come forth when I make the slightest adjustment to the settings. I also downloaded a new Bible program and promise keep up to date with both my reading and learning new processes daily.

On to the new pic….

Comments from non-humans

I have not been all that active as of late due to my attempts at limiting the ‘bot’ comments infecting my blog. With these efforts I seem to have found an effective solution to this annoying problem. I will not be posting my solution publicly as it will effectively give the enemy another avenue of attack 🙂

However as a side benefit, my solution also provides me with a bunch of data which I can evaluate daily, allowing me to more effectively battle this problem.

Hello!

First post and a milestone in my effort to give back to a community which has given so much to me this past year.

I first downloaded Blender in May of 2011 and was overwhelmed by the UI as I have found is common with new users. This quickly became a non issue as I purchased books and watched tutorials at CG Cookie and Blender Guru.

What I was not expecting was how great the user community is and their love of the program, their art and willingness to help old farts like me.

I will be using this site to document my continuing adventure in 3DCG, specifically with Blender via written and video tutorials as my proficiency increases.

Talk to you soon,

Mike
