Who the heck does she think she is

After such a great weekend last week Angie had to spoil it. I went ahead and gave the 200.00 she requested via PayPal for her grand baby and she has the nerve to send another request for 150.00. I cancel the requests and she just sends another, starting to piss me off.

During the weekend I cleaned all the drone stuff away from the dining room window and brought everything to the bedroom closet. It looks really good. Now I need to get rid of all the styrofoam packaging materials. I think a quick trip to the garbage should do the trick sometime this week.

I’m getting back into keeping thinks clean around the house and my health up. The weight is still a problem but I should be able to tackle that easy enough as soon as I can get back on the bike. I have injured my elbow by keeping it too tense and it is very sore right now. To the point it hurts just opening a door.

Work is going well, Dan is starting to do more of my work for some reason but I’m sure that is nothing to worry about. If there was some problem, Dan would let me know. I have spend some time cleaning up the permissions in SharePoint and adding all of the ME group (both programs) to VCR so any individual can work on whatever program Jasmine wants them to work.

The automated DR/DI system in SharePoint seems to be working out now. When a new item is received messages/email are sent to the required individuals and the log seems to be filled out correctly.

I had to start the mandatory training for the year today, nothing like waiting till the last minute to complete the training. Deadline is Monday the 15th of April and I started on Thursday the 12th. Doesn’t seem like I waited too long but I’m taking Monday off so I have two days to complete the training.

First Week Back

Last week was the first back after my Vacation back home in Seattle. Started off with greater than 400 emails to look through. I had a Microsoft Flow set up to forward all work emails to my Gmail account enabling me to address important emails as they came in but I wasn’t online constantly so I still had a bunch to read when I got back.

Supply Chain again is going to miss a cut in point and all indications show the components (Aileron) was tree’d into the bill of materials last April. For a couple of days during the week we (Manufacturing Engineering) was being asked to drive demand for the old part numbers. Needless to say I told them to pound sand (not those exact words) but we did find another solution which accommodates all of those involved in this fiasco.

This particular issue resulted in many emails with some quite high level people making some very stupid suggestions. In the end my boss thanked me for the support I gave and let me know how valuable I am to the organization. The final meeting I had was with our manager and the Program manager hashing out what we needed to do to get things workings. That meeting went very well and made the week fantastic.

Elton John Concert 2-9-2019

I purchased my tickets for the Elton John concert on Saturday 2-9-2019 this weekend and looking forward to that. After I purchased my tickets I realized that his album ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ was the first album I played on my stereo.

T. G. Vacation

One of the guys here at work is on vacation for a week. Dan went first with two weeks, I went second with two weeks and he is the last to go for a week. It will be a quiet week thank goodness.

Osmo Pocket Testing

I did some testing with the Osmo Pocket last Friday and it was perfectly timed with the latest firmware update from DJI. I set the Osmo pocket up on a tripod with the iPhone wanting to test the object tracking function. I placed my Tello drone at my front door, started it up and had the Osmo Pocket tracking its flight around the living room. Looking fantastic then realized I forgotten to start the freaking recording. I was also having problems getting the drone pared with the remote controller. Having said that everything worked great while I got the recording started while I was flying using the phone interface instead of the controller. This Friday I’ll get the remote working again and do some more testing.

Tax return is in!

I filed my taxes Monday afternoon, the soonest I have ever filed and on Friday the first of February my federal taxes were deposited into my account. Now the question is… what toys do I want to buy or am I going to use this as part of a down payment on a house. Decisions decisions….

Vacation OVER

As I said before I had a great time on this trip to Seattle. The first couple of days were a challenge with my dads hearing problems, Rick and Chris yelling trying to communicate with him and his constant worrying about everything that is none of his business.

After sitting back at home for a few days after my trip I realized I liked it and had problems getting up for work. I still love my job and will stay as long as they want but I going to find some residual income for possible retirement in a couple years.

That being said, I enrolled in a class on Udemy by Phil Ebiner regarding the creation and promoting your classes on education platforms. I think this will be one of my best options available.

Still editing photos and video from trip to the mountains. One video I did was of dinner prep. It was supposed to be a time lapse but I had the settings incorrect. I am in the process of creating a time lapse from the raw footage and then publish here.

Note: I’m liking this new version of WordPress.

Seattle 01-15-2019 thru 01-22-2018

Had a great trip. Flights all on time and no problems with LiPo batteries. Security checkpoints were smooth although TSA should standardize their sensitivity of the equipment used. If my belt does not set up any alarms in Tulsa it should not in Seattle. Not the case. Took time lapse videos at the cabin as well as some outdoor stabilized footage on the Osmo pocket with some Pano shots I’ll be posting as soon as I get home. I’m in Denver for the next few hours right now.

Edit later!!

Christmas Vacation Starts next week

I must plan my time well in order to keep in shape which means riding my bike and working out on the Total Gym which I have ignored for a long time (Not much room for it). Time to get ready for my trip to Seattle as well.

With regard to that I purchased tickets for me, Rick and Lindsay last Saturday and Dad is looking forward to it very much.

Week of 06-04-2018

Getting my heart back in shape needs some company. My brain needs to get whipped back into shape. I think the books I pick from Packt Publications (I am awarded three free books for the last review I have done) will be on Microsoft Azure and working in that environment along with SharePoint. I hope the books I find are up to date.

SharePoint:

No work in SharePoint while I have been reviewing the latest RPG book for Packt along with a Unity Shaders  and Effects Book.

Unity, C#, Python and Blender

I will be deep diving into Unity, ASP.Net, Blender and Azure this week. Started with an introductory course for Microsoft Azure this weekend through Lynda.com. Starting my course for ASP.Net with Mosh and continue with the Blender course I was working on at Udemy.

This last weekend:

This last weekend was far better than the last two. I had eaten something bad and ended up with salmonella poising. This happened the weekend of 5-18-2018. I missed Monday the 21st with after having very bad Diarrhea during the entire weekend. Things did not get much better during the week and the following weekend of 5-25-2018, supposed to be a great four day weekend for me ended up being as bad as the last weekend if not worse.  Stayed out Monday again and had Sam take me to the store and get some AD medication. Not sure if I was at the end of the salmonella run or the medication did the trick but what ever happened all is well now thank God.
