Working out

I have been continuing to work out with 5lbs gone I think it may be starting to work. Creating a new item within my daily/weekly routine is harder than it would seem. Everyone has only so much time during a day, 24 hours to be exact and mine is pretty full as it is. The fitbit has helped in adding a couple hours to accommodate the workout and other activities I am working on including the book. I have not posted chapters yet because I have been adding more content ideas and I add to each of these sections as ideas pop into my head. However I will post a final table of contents this week marking the starting point.

Back to working out. I started with settings on the Total Gym I thought were ok but turned out to be much to high for me at the time. Even though working out on the Total Gym is easy and working through each exercise is quite easy it takes time to learn the routine. The first week was frustrating and I got in three workouts during the week. The next week was easier but I stuck with three again as this is what the videos recommended, those days were Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Last week I did three with a small one for good measure, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and four days off. This week I plan on four on and three off. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Two days off (Saturday and Sunday) then back to the same routine. I think this is the one I will stick to. I don’t need to look at the exercise list anymore so things to pretty quick and with the quickness comes additional exercises.

Minecraft

Being a diehard fan of DOOM II, the old low resolution version, I can’t believe I have not played Minecraft before. The weekend before last I was poking around Amazon.com and found a trinket called Gameband. It has Minecraft already loaded, saves your status to their servers and being stand alone you can plug it into any USB on any computer and play as if you are on your home computer (wish they had one for DOOM II as well). I had Minecraft on my phone since it came out but never really got into it until I started playing it on my PC that weekend. Boy did I become hooked. I plug in at work in the morning and grab a fix, grab another fix at lunch and when I get home it is game on!

I can understand how the game sucks you in with the great sound effects as you are walking through some of the caves with monsters lurking around you. The great view you get climbing that mountain you were looking at this morning even though the resolution is what it is the sun rises and sets look great to.

I created my first home base within a ravine and build my house in between the small hills on either side. Behind me was rock and areas to explore and I thought this was a good place to keep camp.

I created a crafting table, made some a stone sword, axe and pickaxe, with these I started on a little expedition. Upon finding some chickens, sheep and pigs running around I started finding ways to catch and kill them for food. After a bit of chasing I soon realized I was lost. What a horrible feeling and it is only a game! To make a long story short night time came and I was overwhelmed by the mobs….

The next thing I know I’m back at my starting point, no sword, axe or pickaxe. Nothing…. time to start over.. Let us go looking for our house.

To be continued…..

PC Problems

Not exactly PC problems but problems during updating. Not any problems with a windows update but an error with Wifi connection during Visual Studio update causing errors. Some errors are harder than others but a Google search always finds someone with the same problem 🙂
